The Ball Company

JSK°Nanoball GmbH is based in Wermelskirchen (near to Cologne and Wuppertal) and is a traditional family-owned company with decades of international experience.

The company JS-Kugeltechnik was founded in 1989 by the graduate engineer (Diplom-Ingenieur) Juergen Schulte. Mr. Schulte developed a new idea concerning the manufacturing of balls by taking advantage of the long experience he gained in the former family-run company named Kugelfabrik Schulte (Marabu). By help of his excellent contacts to certified suppliers, through his meticulous quality control, and internal processing, JS-Kugeltechnik managed to expand rapidly.

In 1996 the daughter company Nanoball GmbH was founded as an exclusive manufacturing company. At that time, Mr. Thomas Schulte, currently Mr. Schulte sen.'s successor, joined the company.
At its outset, Nanoball GmbH was successfull in entering the market for writing instruments and lighters. Innovative ways of thinking and a good portion of professionalism have lead to the manufacturing of high precision miniature balls made from all kinds of materials.

In cooperation with international research institutes, Nanoball has developed monocrystal balls, high-alloyed stainless steel balls, and plastic balls. Even converted materials for hollow balls have been brought to serial production.
The cooperation with various research projects has resulted in novel sales options in fields such as rapid reaction valves, medical instruments and high frequency technologies.
The delivery program of Nanoball currently includes all quality grades, from grade 3 to grade 600. Since 2000 all balls have been sold under the present company name, JSK°Nanoball GmbH.
