The product range of hollow balls is between the diameter range of 2mm and 40m! The available ball types are plastic hollow balls, stainless steel hollow balls and assembled sintered balls, depending on the required ball diameter.
A special development project with the Fraunhofer Institute has produced sintered blank balls.
The small metal hollow balls are being used for rapid reaction valves, designer watches and jewelry. Bigger sized hollow balls can be used as cover balls, swim balls, valve balls or decoration balls.

Magnetic balls
Magnetic balls are made out of ceramic and metal permanent magnetic materials. The ceramic based type is mainly hard ferrite (shortcut Hf). The metal type is represented by ALNICo (mainly Aluminum, nickel and cobalt), SmCo (Samarium an cobalt) and NdFeb (neodymium, iron and bohr). The magnetic balls can be supplied with isotropy or non-isotropy property.
NdFeB magnetic balls: A Neodymium ball has got a high energy density within room temperature and is very constant against demagnetization fields. The disadvantage of neodymium is the weak corrosion resistance and the restricted temperature durability. An additional coating can prevent these negative properties.
SmCo magnetic balls: Samarium balls do have the second strongest energy density (behind neodymium balls) and a high temperature resistance. Another positive aspect is the resistance against high humanity.
ALNiCo magnetic balls: AlNiCo balls are easy to demagnetize by using anti fields. A strong point is the utilizability in a temperature environment up to 550°C (example: measure tools).
Interesting applications for magnetic balls can be found in our application data base.
Special material balls
We offer individual client conception ball materials like single crystal, copper beryllium, magnetic, sintered materials, special stainless steels. We can use provided blank materials in various shapes like wire, sticks, cubes cylinders or any spherical shapes.
Valve balls
The umbrella term valve balls indicates a special geometrical confection of the balls. Nanoball is in the position to offer this specialty within a network of high-tech companies. Beginning with a simple drill thru up to very complex geometric shapes, nearly any shape in the diameter range of 80µm to 300mm is possible. Even the modification of provided balls is possible. The possible process technologies are lathing, milling, cutting, grinding, wire erosion, laser and gluing.
